Cleaning Operative (Waste Operative)
Required: Full UK Driving License
Work Conditions: Casual
Location: Co op Live
Working Hours: Flexibility will be needed due to business needs but shift times are usually between 9pm - 6am and 7am – 4pm
Role Description
Reporting to a manager and working as part of a team or independently, this role is responsible for cleaning and waste management within the venue.
Key Responsibilities
Ø Cleaning tasks include picking up rubbish, waste collection, emptying bins, transporting waste to recycle area, cleaning of storage bays, litter picking, reporting of maintenance issues, washing metal staircases and lifts
Ø Operate handheld cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, blowers, buffing machines, Wet pick up walk behind, ride along scrubber dryer, sky vac for high level dusting, jet wash, Multi wash for escalator and carpets and steam machine to complete allocated cleaning tasks.
Ø Use chemical cleaning solvents and consumables as instructed to complete allocated cleaning tasks
Ø Clean machinery after use and store in a safe place
Ø Carryout any reasonable client cleaning requests
Ø Communicate all suspicious behavior and potential security risks to your area supervisor as soon as possible
Ø All equipment is carefully used, and maintained, and any faults reported.
Ø Safe work practices are followed as per Company Policies.
Ø Carry out and attend any training, appraisals and development programs as per direction from the manager.
Ø All staff are guest focused and have intimate knowledge of facilities and services.
Ø Adhere to the site regulations for safety and Code of conduct at all times
Ø All dress and behavior codes are followed, understood and adhered to.
Ø To satisfy the above, it is preferable to speak and understand basic communication in English
A valid driving license is required.
