Event Cleaning Supervisor

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and reliable Event Cleaning Supervisor to lead and coordinate cleaning operations before, during, and after events. The successful candidate will ensure high cleanliness standards, manage cleaning teams, and maintain a safe and presentable environment for guests, staff, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate cleaning staff during event setup, live events, and breakdown.
  • Allocate tasks and schedules to ensure efficient coverage across all event areas.
  • Inspect venues to ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintained at all times.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, training, and support when needed.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used correctly and replenished.
  • Respond quickly to spillages, waste issues, and urgent cleaning requirements during events.
  • Maintain health and safety standards, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • Liaise with event managers, venue staff, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Complete reports, checklists, and timesheets accurately.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a cleaning supervisor role, preferably within events, hospitality, or facilities management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations related to cleaning.

Desirable:

  • Experience managing large-scale events or venues.
  • COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) knowledge or certification.
  • First Aid qualification.
