Job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Day-to-Day Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the daily delivery of cleaning services across the venue. The successful candidate will lead and support the cleaning team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, health and safety, and customer service are consistently maintained.

Shift Times

Thursday 0700-1530 (7.5 hours + 1 hour break)

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support the day-to-day activities of the cleaning team.
Allocate daily tasks and monitor workloads to ensure all areas are cleaned to the required standards.
Plan, coordinate and supervise deep cleaning programmes, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Identify areas requiring periodic deep cleans and schedule these in line with operational requirements.
Carry out regular inspections and quality audits, taking corrective action where necessary.
Ensure all cleaning schedules, including routine and deep cleaning tasks, are completed efficiently and on time.
Provide on-the-job training, guidance and support to cleaning operatives.
Monitor staff attendance, punctuality and performance, escalating any concerns to management where appropriate.
Ensure all cleaning equipment, machinery and chemicals are used safely, maintained correctly and stored appropriately.
Monitor cleaning stock levels and report any shortages or equipment faults.
Ensure all waste is disposed of correctly in line with company procedures and environmental requirements.
Promote and maintain compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and safe systems of work.
Respond promptly to cleaning requests, spillages and any issues identified by the client or venue management.
Maintain effective communication with venue management and the CleanEvent management team.
Complete daily records, inspections, timesheets and any other required documentation accurately.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory role within facilities management, commercial cleaning or a similar environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Good attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH.
Flexible approach to working hours where business needs require.

Desirable

Experience supervising cleaning teams within large commercial buildings or public venues.
COSHH certification.
First Aid qualification.
Experience using cleaning machinery and equipment.
